The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

This first image is a triptych made from three non- digitally altered 35mm film photos blown up to poster size. The posters illustrate an idea about observation that I got from studying Werner Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. Basically, Heisenberg discov-
ered that on the subatomic level the act of observation changes that which is being observed. I wanted to communicate this idea in a more tangible and human way. I related this principle to the idea that in our everyday actions, the moment we stop and question ourselves we loose our momentum and can not
fully appreciate the current moment. Thus the phrase:
"The moment we observe the now it's gone."

The images that follow are a selection of the many photos I took for this project that didn’t get used for the final triptych.
