This poster was created to communicate the dark and mysterious sound of Gothic Country Rock music, which stems from classic country murder ballads. The music also has a romantic quality similar to a Spaghetti Western soundtrack. It was important to use the romanticism of the southwest as an invitation to this obscure genre. I illustrated the cow skull and the floral arrangement to connote an organic beauty that exists in the harsh natural environment of the American Southwest.
